The Milwaukee Bucks<\/a> will waive 21-year-old forward Chris Livingston<\/a> before his contract becomes guaranteed on July 15 for the upcoming season, opening up a roster spot<\/a> as well as $2.2 million in salary.<\/p>\n

Livingston, who is entering his third season in the NBA, was the No. 58 pick in the 2023 draft<\/a> out of Kentucky at 18 years old.<\/p>\n

His contract was sizable for a pick at that spot in the draft, as Livingston earned the largest deal ever for a second-round pick at $7.7 million over four years. The first two years of that contract were guaranteed outright.<\/p>\n

He appeared in only 42 games for the Bucks over the past two seasons, seeing just under five minutes per game. Livingston played 27 games for the organization\u2019s G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, over that time and shot 47.5% overall and 33.6% from behind the three-point line in more meaningful minutes (28.2 per game).<\/p>\n
