Talks are ongoing as the Sacramento Kings attempt to strike a deal with the Golden State Warriors.<\/p>\n

Ahead of free agency the Golden State Warriors<\/a> were warned that the Jonathan Kuminga situation could drag out <\/a>longer than they would like.<\/p>\n

Three days in, there is no resolution, but there is interest in Jonathan Kuminga<\/a>. The team at the center of this is the Sacramento Kings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Kings have been linked with offering Malik Monk<\/a> in a trade with the Warriors. But this alone is not going to be enough to get a deal done, with Golden State unmoved by the proposal.<\/p>\n

A three-team trade is under discussion involving the Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The negotiations also concern former Golden State Warriors player Dennis Schroder<\/a>, who was part of the team between December 2025 and February 2025.<\/p>\n

Schroder is set to join the Sacramento Kings in free agency despite a promising stint with the Detroit Pistons.<\/p>\n

NBC Sports<\/a> reports Schroder\u2019s move is the trigger for a potential trade for Kuminga, with Malik Monk being sent to Detroit instead of Golden State.<\/p>\n

\u201cSchr\u00f6der, on Tuesday, reportedly agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract with the Kings.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Kings, in turn, would send Monk to the Pistons, and second-year NBA guard Devin Carter and newly acquired big man Dario Saric to the Warriors, the source said.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the agreement for Schroder is not transactionally linked to a Kuminga trade, the move sets the table for Sacramento\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n

A seven-team trade is also in the works<\/p>\n

In a separate deal, a historic seven-team trade is also under discussion across the league, which involves the Golden State Warriors.<\/p>\n

The Athletic<\/a> reports: \u201cThe Rockets and Suns are working on expanding the Kevin Durant trade into a deal that would involve a league-record seven teams. <\/p>\n

\u201cOther teams involved in negotiations at the moment include the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves, league sources say.\u201d<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Talks are ongoing as the Sacramento Kings attempt to strike a deal with the Golden State Warriors.
