The 24-year-old guard played in just nine games as a Wildcat before breaking his foot and missing the rest of the season.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of his injury, which came during the second half of Kentucky\u2019s 18-point comeback win over Gonzaga in Seattle, it was a reported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/kentucky-wildcats\/news\/kerr-kriisa-out-indefinitely-with-foot-injury\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">three-to-six-week timeline for return for Kriisa.<\/a> Mark Pope said he was \u201cexpecting him back sooner rather than later\u201d shortly after he went down, only to back off major updates once SEC play rolled around before ultimately declaring him out for the rest of the year in early March.<\/p>\n<p>Four months later \u2014 and seven months after surgery \u2014 he\u2019s been fully cleared to return to all basketball activities, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JonRothstein\/status\/1940062824799281215\" rel=\"nofollow\">Cincinnati coach Wes Miller confirmed this week.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kriisa committed to the Bearcats on April 6 after entering the portal on March 31.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to welcome Kerr to Cincinnati,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gobearcats.com\/news\/2025\/04\/23\/mens-basketball-signs-kerr-kriisa\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miller said<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GoBearcatsMBB\/status\/1936122101829664881\" rel=\"nofollow\">Kriisa<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019ve played against Kerr multiple times over the last few years and know first-hand how much he impacts winning. Everything combined, I just felt like this was the perfect spot,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/O42FlXqUI9s?si=1V0D-wShZ8CN3oIh\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the former Wildcat said of his commitment.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kriisa started his career at Arizona, playing three seasons in Tucson before transferring to West Virginia. He was a one-and-done in Morgantown, leading to another transfer and single season at Kentucky before hitting the portal again. He averaged 9.4 points, 4.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game at UA, followed by 11.0 points, 4.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds at WVU before 4.4 points, 3.8 assists and 2.4 rebounds per contest at UK.<\/p>\n<p>Ironically, Kriisa \u2014 set to turn 25 years old in January \u2014 will face off against West Virginia and Arizona in the Big 12 next season.
