He has also been an assistant for the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2018-19 season, and for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2019 to 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Penberthy, Kidd, and recently-hired assistant Frank Vogel were all on staff for the 2020 Lakers team that won the championship. Now, they\u2019ll reunite in Dallas as they look to compete for another championship.<\/p>\n<p>It has been a very active offseason so far for the Mavericks.
