The Detroit Pistons were one of the most pleasant surprises during the 2024-25 NBA season. Not only did they take a big step forward from a developmental perspective, they also made a run to the playoffs.<\/p>\n

In the playoffs, the Pistons were able to push the New York Knicks to six games. Even though they lost the series, they had multiple late-game leads that turned into losses.<\/p>\n

Moving into the future, Detroit has a legitimate chance to become a contender in the Eastern Conference. JB Bickerstaff and company could be a team to watch as a potential franchise interested in making a sizable move on the trade market.<\/p>\n

With that being said, the Pistons have been linked to the Chicago Bulls as possible offseason trade partners.<\/p>\n

Jake Weinbach, an NBA analyst and writer, has suggested Detroit<\/a> as a potential trade suitor for Bulls’ center Nikola Vucevic.<\/p>\n

“The market for Nikola Vu\u010devi\u0107 has been quiet up to this point, but the Pistons are an intriguing team that could emerge as an under-the-radar suitor for Chicago\u2019s skillful center,” he wrote. “Detroit would value an experienced stretch five of Vu\u010devi\u0107\u2019s skill set, and the 2x All-Star would be capable of playing alongside Jalen Duren in potential double big lineups.”<\/p>\n

Vucevic could be a very intriguing target for the Pistons. He has a good offensive skill-set and can rebound the basketball as well.<\/p>\n

During the 2024-25 NBA season with Chicago, Vucevic played in 73 games and made 72 starts. He averaged 18.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists, while shooting 53% from the floor and 40.2% from the 3-point line.<\/p>\n

Those numbers could be exactly what Detroit was missing last season.<\/p>\n

Depending on the price tag, the Pistons would be wise to look into the option. Adding Vucevic alongside Jalen Duren would give Detroit an elite front-court duo.<\/p>\n
