{"id":154289,"date":"2025-07-07T22:00:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-07T22:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/154289\/"},"modified":"2025-07-07T22:00:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-07T22:00:12","slug":"injured-haliburton-to-miss-25-26-nba-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/154289\/","title":{"rendered":"Injured Haliburton to miss 25-26 NBA season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton will miss the 2025-26 NBA season after having surgery to repair a torn right Achilles tendon.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old had sustained the injury during the first quarter of the decisive game seven of the NBA Championship play-off finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder last month.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Haliburton fell down without any contact as he attempted to drive to the basket and was in obvious distress as he was helped from the court during the game that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/basketball\/articles\/c4gdp135vvgo?xtor=AL-72-%5Bpartner%5D-%5Byahoo.north.america%5D-%5Blink%5D-%5Bsport%5D-%5Bbizdev%5D-%5Bisapi%5D\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:the Pacers lost 103-91;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">the Pacers lost 103-91<\/a> to end their hopes of a first NBA title.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the point guard&#8217;s lengthy absence, Pacers president Kevin Pritchard said he hoped Haliburton &#8220;will be back better than ever&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The surgery went well,&#8221; Pritchard told WISH-TV.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He will not play next year though. We would not jeopardise that now.
