Chicago Sky star Angel Reese has broken her silence about the shocking actions of slapping a clipboard out of a coach’s hand during a game against the Washington Mystics.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Just 48 hours after\u00a0exploding at referees in a foul-mouthed rant<\/a> during their loss to the Minnesota<\/a> Lynx, Reese reacted angrily to Ann Crosby – who is listed as Chicago’s vice president of basketball operations, strength and conditioning – trying to hand her a clipboard as she headed to the bench while her team challenged a foul call.<\/p>\n

The television broadcast captured her violent outburst<\/a>, which occurred with 29.9 seconds left in the game at George Mason University while the Sky were tied 77-77 with the Mystics.<\/p>\n

Reese’s actions did not propel her team to victory, as the Mystics defeated the Sky 81-79. Now, Reese is answering critiques of her actions that were panned.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Those **** were pissing me off,’ she said with a crying emoji, ‘shoutout to Ann because she know it was the heat of the moment and she didn\u2019t let me apologize because she knew! Not happening again tho’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite Reese putting up 22 points on the night, the Sky were eventually beaten 81-79 by the Mystics – marking their seventh defeat in 10 games.<\/p>\n

Reese apologized for her actions while saying staffer Ann Crosby did not take it personally<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old’s clipboard slam comes two days after she hit out at WNBA officials in a fiery postgame press conference after a defeat to the Lynx.<\/p>\n

Reese was getting battered in the paint and took out some of her frustration on officials – who only gave Chicago eight free throws in the game. Seven of those eight free throws came in the fourth quarter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After the contest ended, she addressed her anger with the lack of calls from officials: ‘It’s tough when you talk to officials and I asked them, “Hey we only shot two free-throws, we’ve only been to the free-throw line twice up until the fourth quarter” and she tells me it’s not her job.<\/p>\n

‘So I know it’s frustrating because I know how hard we are battling inside [the paint]. I think we came down and fought as hard as we could with what we had. I just know that we’ll continue to grow on this and I think this is a leaping step up for us.’<\/p>\n

‘Obviously we know we can compete with the best, but that has to be fixed. I don’t give a damn if I get fined because that s***’s cheap and I am tired of this s***. I’ve been nice and I’ve been humble with it but I am tired of this s***.’<\/p>\n

The frustration might build from the Sky being in the penultimate position in the WNBA standings, approaching the halfway point of the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chicago are 3.5 games back of the Mystics and Las Vegas Aces, who are tied for the final playoff position.\u00a0<\/p>\n
