LAS VEGAS, Nev. \u2014 The Orlando Magic’s Summer League team got off to a slow start and could not complete a comeback, falling to the Sacramento Kings 84-81 on Thursday night.<\/p>\n
The game featured the debuts of rookies Jase Richardson and Noah Penda.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Forward Tristan da Silva, entering his second season, led the Magic with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists<\/p>\n
Richardson tweaked an existing right ankle injury in the third quarter and came out of the game temporarily, but he returned and finished with 14 points and went 2-for-3 from behind the 3-point line. His 3-pointer at the buzzer pulled Orlando to within three points for the final margin.<\/p>\n
“I feel like I could do a lot more, in my opinion,” Richardson said. “I’m still not fully 100%, but I feel like I can give more to this team.”<\/p>\n
He said he hopes to help improve on the pace of the game going forward and thinks the team will get better with more playing time together.<\/p>\n
Penda shot 4-for-9, had three rebounds, four assists, two steals and made some physical defensive plays.<\/p>\n
“Maybe the excitement for the beginning made me a little bit tight,” Penda said. “…Improvement is going to be the big thing.”<\/p>\n
He said he hopes to shoot better but will work on all areas of his game.<\/p>\n
Second-year forward Tristan da Silva led the Magic with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Ethan Richardson, a two-way player for Orlando\/Osceola last season, scored 16 points, including 3-for-6 from behind the 3-point line.<\/p>\n
Defensively, the Magic limited Sacramento to 38.8% shooting, which gave them the opportunity to find their way offensively for a close finish.<\/p>\n
Off the court, guard Jalen Suggs, who is recovering from knee surgery in the spring, was at the game.<\/p>\n
