But no, we had to make the playoffs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mosesmoody?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@mosesmoody<\/a> on gutting it out last season while dealing with a hand injury. (via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WillardAndDibs?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@WillardAndDibs<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Full interview\u2935\ufe0f<br \/>\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4C7qsATEVK\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/4C7qsATEVK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 95.7 The Game (@957thegame) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/957thegame\/status\/1946367486066327993?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">July 19, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"67LLI2\">\u201cIt was really tough,\u201d Moody said. \u201cI didn\u2019t know it was torn at that point, but I couldn\u2019t really use it and it hurt to catch the ball, to dribble the ball, all of that type of stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"jk1Qyb\">Despite the discomfort, Moody chose not to use the injury as an excuse.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0Ehx4L\">\u201cI could play around it,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019d make it a point to say, like if I\u2019m going to play, then I\u2019m not going to say, \u2018Ok, every time I mess up it\u2019s because my hand hurt.\u2019 Like if that\u2019s the case, then you shouldn\u2019t play.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"Rldw9I\">The 23-year-old guard played in 74 games last season and found his stride once he began receiving consistent minutes in the rotation. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsbayarea.com\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/moses-moody-nbpa-andre-igoudala\/1861854\/?partner=yahoo&amp;cid=yahoo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">According to NBC Sports Bay Area\u2019s Monte Poole<\/a>, Moody shot 48.3% from the field and 40% from three during his first 16 games as a starter.<\/p>\n<p id=\"pRuhXz\">However, the injury\u2014which Moody says occurred during a March matchup against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brewhoop.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>\u2014led to a noticeable dip in production, most evident during the playoffs, where he shot just 35% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc across 12 postseason games.<\/p>\n<p id=\"y0G4Nn\">While his performance after the injury may have been disappointing, last season still gave a glimpse of how a fully healthy Moody could help fuel the Warriors\u2019 championship aspirations next season.<\/p>\n<p id=\"DfbSfr\">For more on this and other news around the NBA, here is our latest news round-up for Tuesday, July 22nd:<\/p>\n<p>Warriors News:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsbayarea.com\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/moses-moody-thumb-injury\/1862848\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Warriors\u2019 Moses Moody explains difficulties playing with torn UCL last season | NBC Sports Bay Area<\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"2z28vQ\">\u201cSo that ligament really is your thumb, I couldn\u2019t palm the ball, so pretty much anything using your thumb,\u201d Moody said. \u201cBut, I made ways, to like I would shoot without my thumb and then I would catch the ball without it hitting my thumb. Manon, undrafted out of Vanderbilt, played for the Warriors in California and Las Vegas summer leagues. Thompson started all 72 games he played for the Mavericks, who were fourth in offensive rating through Christmas Day before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/player\/_\/id\/3945274\/luka-doncic\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Luka Doncic<\/a> was injured because of a calf strain.
