Golden State Warriors<\/a> guard Moses Moody revealed what it was like to play through a torn UCL in his right hand during the end of last season.<\/p>\n In an appearance on 95.7 The Game, Moody said he didn\u2019t initially know the severity of the injury, but the pain was constant\u2014and affected everything he did on the court.<\/p>\n ” I didn’t know my (thumb ligament) was torn…if I knew it was torn, I probably would’ve sat it out. (via @WillardAndDibs<\/a>)<\/p>\n Full interview\u2935\ufe0f \u2014 95.7 The Game (@957thegame) July 19, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt was really tough,\u201d Moody said. \u201cI didn\u2019t know it was torn at that point, but I couldn\u2019t really use it and it hurt to catch the ball, to dribble the ball, all of that type of stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the discomfort, Moody chose not to use the injury as an excuse.<\/p>\n \u201cI could play around it,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019d make it a point to say, like if I\u2019m going to play, then I\u2019m not going to say, \u2018Ok, every time I mess up it\u2019s because my hand hurt.\u2019 Like if that\u2019s the case, then you shouldn\u2019t play.\u201d<\/p>\n The 23-year-old guard played in 74 games last season and found his stride once he began receiving consistent minutes in the rotation.
