The Dallas Mavericks<\/a> have completed the 2025 NBA Summer League<\/a>, and while the future Mavericks looked great, it got me thinking about Summer Leagues of the past. Who are the all-time leaders for the Mavericks in Summer League stats?<\/p>\n

A couple notes\u2014these stats were pulled from Real GM<\/a>. If historical Summer League stats are available on the NBA\u2019s official website, they\u2019re hard to find. Second, high draft picks rarely play more than a couple games, if at all, so that\u2019s why some names are either absent or have high averages. I\u2019ve noted that when relevant.<\/p>\n

Alright, let\u2019s remember some guys:<\/p>\n

Most games<\/p>\n

A.J. Lawson leads the way with 15 games played for Dallas. Dorian Finney-Smith, one of the Mavericks\u2019 most successful development projects, is second with 14.<\/p>\n

Points<\/p>\n

Not surprisingly, since Lawson has played in the most games, he\u2019s got the most total points with 233. But when it comes to points per game, Cooper Flagg is actually the Dallas leader, though he\u2019s only played in two games. If you want a leader who has played in a significant (for Summer League) number of games, that\u2019s Mavs legend Dwight Powell, with 18.8.<\/p>\n

3-pointers<\/p>\n

Justin Anderson has hit the most 3-pointers for the Mavericks in Summer League, with 28 total. Coming in second\u2014you guessed it, Lawson, with 26. Third on the list, for curiosity, is the once untradable Roddy Beaubois, with 21.<\/p>\n

Rebounds<\/p>\n

The rugged and likable Bernard James leads the Summer League Mavericks with 85 total rebounds. The all-around threat Lawson is second with 80.<\/p>\n

Powell, of course, leads per game, with 9.2.<\/p>\n

Assists<\/p>\n

Dominque Jones and Gal Makel are tied for most assists with 42 each. Dennis Smith is right behind them with 37, which he picked up in eight games. Jones and Makel got their numbers in 10 games, so it\u2019s likely Smith would\u2019ve passed them if he got more games.<\/p>\n

Kevin Pangos, who is a player who definitely exists and was not created on NBA 2K, leads per game, but new Maverick Ryan Nembhard has a whopping 6.7, although in only three games.<\/p>\n

Steals<\/p>\n

Lawson leads here as well, with 22 steals total. Jae Crowder is right behind him with 21, which I mention because I just really enjoyed Crowder\u2019s game and wish he played for the Mavericks longer than he did.<\/p>\n

Payne leads in per game, with 2.7, but again, that was only in three games. Smith was able to grab 2.4 steals per game over eight games, so we\u2019ll count him as the official leader.<\/p>\n

Blocks<\/p>\n

It\u2019s obvious who the best Summer League big man is for the Mavericks. James has the most total blocks with 22. DJ Mbenga(!) leads per game with 2.8, which will surprise no one who really thought Mbenga would be the center of the future for Dallas back in the mid-2000s.<\/p>\n

Turnovers<\/p>\n

The electric Beaubois leads the way with 39 total turnovers. Devin Harris technically leads per game, with five, but that was in just two games.
