Although it\u2019s not a perfect solution, the team recently agreed to a deal with D\u2019Angelo Russell, which should certainly help that situation.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>While the team still appears to be in the market for some more guard help, the Mavericks won\u2019t be bringing back one of their veterans in that spot. On Wednesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShamsCharania\/status\/1940478266630091224\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Shams Charania;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Shams Charania<\/a> reported that Spencer Dinwiddie agreed to a one-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets.<\/p>\n<p>Although Dinwiddie is past his prime, he was a key part of the Mavericks\u2019 season last year. With so many injuries throughout the year, Dinwiddie managed to suit up for 79 games, starting 30.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the Mavericks likely want to forget last season happened and look toward the future. With Wednesday\u2019s news, it appears that future won\u2019t feature Dinwiddie, who had returned to Dallas for his second stint with the team last season.<\/p>\n<p>Dinwiddie\u2019s first stint in Dallas began at the 2022 trade deadline when he was acquired in a deal for Kristaps Porzingis.
