The slate for the four-time reigning SEC regular-season champion Gamecocks will open on New Year\u2019s Day against Alabama, which they will play twice this season, and close with five of their final six games coming against 2025 NCAA Tournament participants, including four straight to open the final stretch.Six of South Carolina\u2019s eight league home games will be against teams that played in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, including four that finished last season in the nation\u2019s top 20. NCAA Sweet 16 finishers Tennessee (Feb. 8) and Ole Miss (Feb. 22) highlight the Gamecocks\u2019 four Sunday home games, which also include border rival Georgia (Jan. 11) and NCAA Tournament participant Vanderbilt (Jan. 25.Thursday home games, beginning with the league schedule tipoff on New Year\u2019s Day against Alabama, include a rematch of last season\u2019s co-champions when Texas (Jan. 15) comes to Colonial Life Arena followed by Mississippi State (Feb. 5) and Missouri (Feb. 26).On the road, South Carolina\u2019s schedule features the rare Saturday contest as the Gamecocks will be at LSU on Feb. 14. The Gamecocks\u2019 other weekend trips are Sunday games at Florida (Jan. 4), Alabama (Feb. 19) and Kentucky (Mar. 1). Thursday\u2019s road slate is games at Arkansas (Jan. 8), Oklahoma (Jan. 22), Auburn (Jan. 29) and Alabama (Feb. 19).South Carolina has won nine SEC regular-season titles over the last 12, including the last four, and has not been outside the top two in that stretch.  Head coach Dawn Staley is 214-56 in SEC play, including back-to-back undefeated seasons, with her .793 league winning percentage second only to Tennessee\u2019s Pat Summitt (.874) in league history.
