The Detroit Pistons are coming off an incredible season that saw them go from being the worst team in the NBA to making the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Of course, the Pistons were able to make the playoffs as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference last season after finishing with the league\u2019s worst record the prior two seasons.<\/p>\n

This was mainly due to the breakout campaign from star guard Cade Cunningham along with the additions of multiple veterans and young talent last summer.<\/p>\n

While the Pistons had a historic turnaround last season, they did lose some key players in free agency like Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dennis Schroder, though they were able to add both Caris LeVert and Duncan Robinson.<\/p>\n

Despite these additions, Detroit is banking on their young players to continue to take another leap next season, though one of their young players landed on a list of the top trade assets in the NBA.<\/p>\n

Bleacher Report\u2019s Zach Buckley<\/a> recently listed Ron Holland II as the fourth-best trade asset in the NBA.<\/p>\n

\u201cGive Holland a reliable outside shot, and everything could open up for the 6’8″, athletic forward. Since the summer sample isn’t big enough to assume he has one now, though, it’s still worth wondering if the Pistons would consider letting him go to get Cade Cunningham a true co-star. Because if Holland’s shot remains a question, then so, too, does his long-term fit with fellow non-spacers Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren,\u201d Buckley wrote.<\/p>\n

Buckley does make a great point about Holland II\u2019s shooting issues and his potential lack of fit next to Duren and Thompson if he is unable to improve his outside shooting.<\/p>\n

Despite this, Holland II showed out during the Summer League and it is highly unlikely that the Pistons will look to move on from him anytime soon, especially with him set to enter the second season of his NBA career.<\/p>\n

Last season, the 20-year-old forward averaged 6.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 47.4% from the field and 23.8% from three in a little over 15 minutes per game.<\/p>\n

Holland II now enters his sophomore season in the NBA where he should have a much larger role off the bench for the Pistons, though he could also break into the starting lineup at some point.<\/p>\n
