He scored in double figures 13 times, including a season-high 14 points and seven rebounds on May 28.

The 6-foot-8 Frenchman announced last month that he planned to join the Knicks, rather than spend the 2025-26 season as a draft-and-stash prospect. He will likely do so on a two-way contract, according to James Edwards III of The Athletic.

I wouldn’t be surprised if New York ended up signing second-round pick Mohamed Diawara to one of its three two-way spots. I’ve heard rumblings of that potentially happening since summer league. After that, Kevin McCullar could return in one of the other two-way spots. … For the third spot, someone like Dink Pate could make sense for New York.

Diawara debuted with the Knicks in the NBA Summer League, averaging seven points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals on 40% shooting from the field in four appearances. He finished with nine points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals on July 19.

The 20-year-old impressed in the annual summer showcase as a player who can handle the ball, finish in transition and space the floor a bit. He also projects to be a versatile defender on the other end of the court, boasting a reported 7-foot, 4-inch wingspan.

Diawara will likely spend time in the G League next season to develop within the Knicks’ system. He boasts plenty of high-level experience and projects to have a chance to eventually compete for rotation minutes.

Forward Mohamed Diawara, the 51st overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft, appears to be in the mix…

[3768
7,106,1936,2727,304,2501,32444,70,85,6,3494,239,1136,191,67,3810,3806,1100,61,134,132,66,83,3166,303
0":"post-238942","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-new-york-knicks","8":"tag-basketball","9":"tag-jr","10":"tag-kevin","11":"tag-kevin-mccullar-jr","12":"tag-knicks","13":"tag-league","14":"tag-mccullar","15":"tag-national","16":"tag-national-sports","17":"tag-nba","18":"tag-nba-summer-league","19":"tag-new","20":"tag-new-york","21":"tag-new-york-knicks","22":"tag-news","23":"tag-newyork","24":"tag-newyorkknicks","25":"tag-ny","26":"tag-overall","27":"tag-overall-positive","28":"tag-positive","29":"tag-sports","30":"tag-sports-news","31":"tag-summer","32":"tag-york
["GET
