One day after Stanford women\u2019s basketball revealed their non-conference slate for the 2025-26 season, Stanford men\u2019s basketball followed suit as well<\/a>. Unlike the women\u2019s schedule, some of the tipoff times and television information has been released. Home games are in bold, road games in italics, and neutral games neither.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll provide more thoughts on the schedule once I do my full breakdown, but the first thing that stands out is there is an exhibition! Against Oregon, no less. Stanford men\u2019s basketball has often not had an exhibition, so for them to have an exhibition and have it be against another high major opponent is something that immediately jumps out if you are one that follows the program.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Secondly, the team only leaves the state of California once and remains out West the entire non-conference season as their game outside of California is a neutral site contest in Arizona. So, from a travel perspective this schedule is nice.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Third, this has a nice blend of quality opponents and challenges while also having manageable games that they can use to help them gel as a team. The first five home games are a great opportunity to go 5-0 and then the Acrisure Invitational will be a nice test to dive into. A bit later on, the road game at San Jose State might on paper seem easy, but no road game in college hoops is easy, so that will be a good test and then facing Colorado in a neutral site game towards the end of the non-conference will be a good measuring stick for them to have before ACC play begins.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With year two of the\u00a0Kyle Smith\u00a0era commencing, there\u2019s a lot of unknowns about how this Stanford team will look after star big man\u00a0Maxime Raynaud\u00a0graduated and got drafted by the Sacramento Kings. It\u2019ll be interesting to see how they go about making up for Raynaud\u2019s production both in terms of scoring and rebounding.\u00a0<\/p>\n
