The event will begin at 6:30 p.m., and tickets can be purchased <a href=\"https:\/\/memphis.simpleviewcrm.com\/webapi\/rsvp\/v2\/?action=details&amp;noredirect=1&amp;eventId=399\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Allen joins former Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph (2024 class) and former coach Hubie Brown (2023 class) from the Grizzlies organization to be inducted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMemphis gave me \u2018All Heart. Grit. Grind.\u2019 and to be inducted into the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame means everything to me,&#8221; Allen said in an Aug. 26 release. &#8220;It\u2019s a blessing to be recognized alongside so many Memphis legends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other inductees include:<\/p>\n<p>Tommy Buford, former University of Memphis tennis coach (posthumous induction).Matt Cain, former Houston High baseball standout and MLB champion, All-Star.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialappeal.com\/story\/sports\/high-school\/2025\/07\/02\/tssaa-basketball-fred-horton-returns-kingsbury-boys-retirement\/84169729007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fred Horton<\/a>, Memphis boys basketball coaching veteran.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialappeal.com\/story\/sports\/college\/memphis-tigers\/2025\/06\/23\/joye-lee-mcnelis-memphis-sports-hall-of-fame\/84324564007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Joye Lee-McNelis<\/a>, former University of Memphis women&#8217;s basketball coach (posthumous induction).<a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialappeal.com\/story\/sports\/high-school\/2025\/01\/27\/tennessee-high-school-basketball-bubba-luckett-retirement-christian-brothers-tssaa\/77852342007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bubba Luckett<\/a>, former Christian Brothers High School basketball coach.Sputnik Monroe (John Stamm\/JJ Guinozzo Legacy Award Winner), former professional wresler (posthumous induction).Curtis Person Sr., former golfer (posthumous induction).Lucy Wener, Olmypic alternate gymnast.Carrie Yerty, former University of Memphis volleyball coach (posthumous induction).<\/p>\n<p>Wendell Shepherd Jr. is The Commercial Appeal&#8217;s high school sports beat writer.
