Despite stumbling late in the championship game of the ACC Tournament on Saturday, the FSU softball team still locked up a top-eight seed for the NCAA Tournament.<\/p>\n
The Seminoles, who will host an NCAA Regional later this week, were tabbed as the No. 5 national seed when the field was announced on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
FSU, which is 46-9 on the season, will host Auburn, USF and Robert Morris in a four-team Regional.<\/p>\n

The Seminoles will play Robert Morris at 2:30 p.m. on Friday on the ACC Network. USF and Auburn will face off at noon on Friday on ESPNU.\u00a0

FSU will be hosting a regional for the 11th consecutive season. FSU is one of four schools (FSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, UCLA) to host a regional in each of the last 11 seasons.\u00a0

The Seminoles earned a top 8 seed for the eighth time under Head Coach Lonni Alameda and for the seventh time in the last nine seasons. FSU is 20-3 in regionals under Coach Alameda when they are a top 8 seed. <\/p>\n
