After a few key roster additions this summer, the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> begin the 2025-26 season viewed nationally as one of the favorites to win the 2026 NBA Finals.<\/p>\n

Rob Pelinka & Co. signed free agents Deandre Ayton, Jake LaRavia and Marcus Smart, each to two-year contracts. The team re-signed Luka Don\u010di\u0107 and Jaxson Hayes and selected Adou Thiero with the 36th pick in the 2025 NBA draft.<\/p>\n

Behind their offseason moves, the Lakers currently have the sixth-highest championship odds (plus-1600<\/a>) under second-year coach JJ Redick. They are hopeful Don\u010di\u0107 can stay hot from his run with Slovenia in EuroBasket 2025, while receiving strong contributions from the rest of the roster.<\/p>\n
