BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas \u2013 An 11th-minute goal from freshman Vailana Tu\u2019ua was all No. 10 Arkansas soccer (5-2-2, 3-0-0 SEC) needed to shut out Texas A&M (3-4-3, 0-3-0 SEC), 1-0, on Sunday night.<\/p>\n
Tu\u2019ua, the reigning SEC Freshman of the Week, deflected a shot at the top of the 18-yard box from midfielder Kennedy Ball into open space in the six-yard box. Tu\u2019ua buried an unsavable shot with her left foot for her third goal of SEC play.<\/p>\n
Arkansas\u2019 defense came up big in the remaining 79 minutes, with defenders Dejionee Anderson and Avery Wren blowing up several A&M counterattacks.<\/p>\n
The Aggies\u2019 best chance came in the 88th minute, but goalkeeper Evie Vitali, making her first start in SEC play, hit a powerful shot from forward Kaylee Noble over the crossbar.<\/p>\n
Texas A&M outshot Arkansas, 10-4, but the shot from Noble was the only one on frame.<\/p>\n

The Hogs have won three straight matches and sit atop the SEC standings, tied with Georgia, with nine points.
\nFor the third straight season, the Razorbacks have started 3-0-0 in SEC play.
\nArkansas improved to 7-0-1 in its last eight matches against Texas A&M. All but two of those eight matches were decided by one goal.
\nThe Hogs\u2019 last match at Texas A&M, in 2023, ended in a similar fashion, with then-freshman Kennedy Ball scoring the lone goal.
\nVailana Tu\u2019ua joined Zoe Susi at the top spot on Arkansas\u2019 goal leaderboard with three goals.
\nThe 1-0 shutout is Arkansas\u2019 second clean sheet of the season and first of SEC play.
\nThe Razorbacks improved to 3-0-1 in road games this season.
\nSince 2020, Arkansas has won 3 SEC regular season titles, accumulated 41 SEC wins (in 51 opportunities) and outscored its SEC opponents by 80 goals.
