Happy birthday to Spurs two-way player Riley Minix. Today, the former Morehead State Eagle hits the quarter-century mark.<\/p>\n
After going undrafted in 2024, Minix joined the Spurs in Summer League, later signing a two-way contract. Minix may have only appeared in one game with the San Antonio Spurs, but he hired during the G-League\u2019s Tip \u2013 Off Tournament, averaging 20.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 33 minutes per game, helping Austin to a 10 \u2013 6 record.<\/p>\n

Once the Austin Spurs regular season began, Minix only played in the first three games, missing the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn\u00a0labrum\u00a0in his left shoulder.<\/p>\n
The Spurs want to see more of what Minix can do and extended him a second two-way contract this year. He\u2019s been seen with the team as they make appearances and continue to bind in the offseason, proving that his time with the Silver & Black is not being spent on the outside looking in.<\/p>\n
There won\u2019t be a lot of minutes to go around, but between injuries and rest Minix should be able to showcase his talent on the larger stage.<\/p>\n
