Dana Altman<\/a> and the Ducks have landed another huge commitment, as 4-star Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco small forward Tajh Ariza<\/a> announced pledge to Oregon on Friday. Ariza is an NBA legacy and the son of veteran forward Trevor Ariza<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ariza chose the Ducks from a final two that also included the USC Trojans after taking official visits to each school over the last few months.<\/p>\n

The newest Duck is listed at 6\u20199\u2033, 200 pounds and is ranked the No. 14 prospect nationally, the No. 6 small forward and the No. 5 prospect in California according to Rivals. He\u2019s the second recruit to join Oregon\u2019s 2026 as he joins 3-star Reidsville (NC) small forward Kendre Harrison<\/a>, who\u2019s also a 5-star tight end recruit for Dan Lanning<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ariza is the second addition of the week for Oregon, as Chinese Basketball Association standout guard Wei Lin also committed to the Ducks. Lin will be immediately eligible for Oregon, whereas Ariza still has one season of high school basketball remaining.<\/p>\n

Following Ariza\u2019s commitment, Altman and the Ducks are still recruiting 5-star Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame small forward Tyran Stokes<\/a>, the No. 1 prospect in the country who took an official visit to Oregon last month. <\/p>\n

\u201cTajh Ariza\u00a0does a lot of things that translate at the highest levels, and that is a lot of the appeal with him. Ariza is a fluid athlete, with his ability to change direction and explode into the play. He is someone who can dribble, shoot, or pass to create an advantage in the half-court. Ariza will need to continue getting stronger, which will help him finish as he gets downhill into the paint, and he will need to continue tightening up his jump shot, especially off movement. The upside is high with Ariza\u2026Continue watching the growth.
