The Cats ranked 30th in points per game (75.9), but the metrics go beyond that.<\/p>\n<p>As a team, Kentucky had an effective field goal percentage of 51.3%, good enough for 35th in the nation. That ultimately translates to being able to put up points efficiently \u2014 making every trip down the floor count. Kentucky scored 1.08 points per scoring attempt (36th) this season, which resulted in 0.91 points per play (22nd).<\/p>\n<p>With the talent that is returning for the upcoming season, Kentucky should once again be among the best offensive teams in the country.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/teonni-key-242029\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Teonni Key<\/a>, for example, shot 50.4% from the field, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/clara-strack-241729\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Clara Strack<\/a> wasn\u2019t too far behind her with a 48.8% clip. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/tonie-morgan-162993\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tonie Morgan<\/a> was just above that at 48.9% from the field, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/dominika-paurova-242583\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dominika Paurov\u00e1<\/a> shot 48% her freshman year at Oregon State. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/josie-gilvin-248887\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Josie Gilvin<\/a> shot better than all of them as a junior, making 53.2% of her shots (43rd).<\/p>\n<p>Kentucky could be really, really fun to watch next season with the offensive firepower they should have.<\/p>\n<p>Want more coverage of the Cats?
