The report calmed some nerves from the initial jump scare of a potential two week injury.

Many of us in attendance during the Wolves game in Los Angeles last Friday witnessed Edwards walking back to the bench gingerly. He was grabbing at what appeared to be his hamstring back then already. It was just minutes into their next game versus the Indiana Pacers on Sunday when he pulled up lame after converting a fastbreak layup. He was ruled out for the game shortly thereafter. He did eventually return to the bench in street clothes while using some type of electronic stimulator pack as temporary treatment on his leg.

Hamstrings or other soft issue injuries generally should be treated with caution. It’s common for these types of things to get reaggravated if they’re not properly healed. As a comparison, Stephen Curry strained his hamstring during game one of the playoffs against the Timberwolves earlier this year. At best, he could have possibly returned for game six which would’ve been 12 days after his initial injury.

The Timberwolves schedule for the next two weeks is as follows:

There’s two matchups that will be more difficult than the rest there: Denver and New York. Aside from that, a team with two All-Stars in Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert (technically three including Mike Conley) should be able to win all of those games and bide enough time until Edwards returns. In fact, Minnesota has a three-day break spanning from November 11th through November 13th to give a bit more cushion for him to recover. A potential November 14th home game against the Kings could be a theoretical target return date.

As first reported by ESPN insider Shams Charania, news of Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards injury status was…

[3782
7,307,152,3954,6,308,13404
0":"post-371574","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-minnesota-timberwolves","8":"tag-basketball","9":"tag-minnesota","10":"tag-minnesota-timberwolves","11":"tag-minnesotatimberwolves","12":"tag-nba","13":"tag-timberwolves","14":"tag-timberwolves-news
["GET
