As the 2025 NBA draft approaches, the league officially released its list early entry candidates for the June event.<\/a><\/p>\n

According to the NBA, 106 players filed for early entry into this year\u2019s draft. Plenty of local standouts are on the list, including Texas\u2019 Tre Johnson<\/a>, Baylor\u2019s VJ Edgecombe and UConn\u2019s Liam McNeeley.<\/a> Johnson (Lake Highlands) and McNeely (John Paul II) notably stood out in the Dallas-area high school scene before making an impact at the collegiate level.<\/p>\n

Players who applied for early entry have until 4 p.m. on June 15 to withdraw their names from draft consideration. To retain collegiate eligibility, college players would have to withdraw by May 28.<\/p>\n
