ANN ARBOR, Mich. \u2013 The Michigan Wolverines<\/a> basketball program has made prominent additions through the transfer portal after advancing to the Sweet 16.<\/p>\n

Following their magical run, head coach Dusty May<\/a>, after losing Vladislav Godin, Danny Wolf, Tre Donaldson, Sam Walters, Rubin Jones, Justin Pippen, Jace Howard, and Phat Phat Brooks, secured three new members to help lead the 2025-26 team.<\/p>\n

Yes, the Wolverines are expected to return Roddy Gayle Jr., Nimari Burnett, Will Tschetter, L.J. Cason, and Oscar Goodman. <\/p>\n

Incoming transfers Elliot Cadeau, Morez Johnson Jr., and Aday Mara will look to build on the foundation May has set in year one.<\/p>\n

Yaxel Lendeborg committed out of the transfer to Michigan this offseason out of UAB, but he is currently working out for NBA teams to see where he stands ahead of his May 28, 2025, decision to stay in the draft or come to Michigan.<\/p>\n

May brought in incoming freshmen Trey McKenney and Winters Grady, but the Wolverines got another freshman pledge on Friday (May 16).<\/p>\n

Former Coastal Carolina commit joins Michigan<\/p>\n

It worked out pretty well the last time Michigan recruited someone from Coastal Carolina, at least on the football field with Josaiah Stewart, who has been drafted to the NFL. <\/p>\n

That instance involved a transfer to the football team, and Josaiah Stewart was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round of the NFL draft.<\/p>\n

This time it\u2019s small forward Patrick Liburd<\/a>, who announced on Instagram that he had found his new school which were the men in maize.<\/p>\n

Liburd is a 6\u20326\u2033, 180-pound three-star small forward who is ranked No. 56 and No.23 from Florida, initially committed to Coastal Carolina.<\/p>\n

The men in maize were his only Power Five offer, but he was also interested in Dartmouth, Cornell, Fairfield, Jacksonville, and Florida International University.<\/p>\n
