The Sacramento Kings can\u2019t seem to catch a break \u2014 or a win.<\/p>\n

Following Wednesday\u2019s blowout 137-96 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, veteran forward DeMar DeRozan<\/a> didn\u2019t mince words about the state of the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a s\u2014-y place,\u201d DeRozan told The Sacramento Bee\u2019s Chris Biderman when asked where the Kings are emotionally. \u201cDon\u2019t nobody want to lose the way we\u2019ve been losing.\u201d<\/p>\n

DeRozan finished with seven points in 15 minutes of action as the Kings fell to 3-13, sitting 14th in the Western Conference \u2014 ahead of only the 2-13 New Orleans Pelicans. Sacramento now has dropped eight straight games \u2014 its longest skid since the 2021-22 season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s just everything right now for us is just s\u2014-y, honestly,\u201d DeRozan told Biderman. \u201cSometimes when you\u2019re in the deep end, it\u2019s hard to hear anything. You\u2019re just trying to swim your way out, one way or another.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Kings\u2019 few bright spots haven\u2019t come easily. Their three wins this season came against the Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks \u2014 both decided by just two points \u2014 and a shorthanded Warriors team missing Stephen Curry<\/a>, Jimmy Butler<\/a> and Draymond Green<\/a>. Sacramento also was without Domantas Sabonis<\/a>, Zach LaVine<\/a> and Keegan Murray<\/a>, who was still sidelined after thumb surgery at the time.<\/p>\n

Murray finally rejoined the rotation Wednesday, but any sense of relief was short-lived. Sabonis will miss at least three to four weeks with a partial meniscus tear<\/a> \u2014 another blow to a roster already searching for answers.<\/p>\n

Sacramento will get another chance to climb out of its current slump when it visits the Denver Nuggets on Saturday at Ball Arena.<\/p>\n
