Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo told reporters on Dec. 4 that Morant would be &#8220;day-to-day&#8221; going forward after making good progress.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>However, Morant won&#8217;t play against the <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/basketball\/nba\/teams\/los-angeles-clippers\/12\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Los Angeles Clippers;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Los Angeles Clippers<\/a> on Dec. 5 (7 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network) at FedExForum.<\/p>\n<p>Morant is averaging 17.9 points and 7.6 assists in 12 games this season.<\/p>\n<p>Morant&#8217;s absence is one of many that has decimated the Grizzlies&#8217; point guard depth. Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe), Ty Jerome (calf) and Javon Small (toe) are all out with injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Vince Williams Jr. and Cam Spencer have played in more primary playmaking roles without the point guards. The Grizzlies also<a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/article\/memphis-grizzlies-signing-kobe-bufkin-185358151.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:signed Kobe Bufkin to a 10-day contract on Nov. 24 to add guard depth.;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> signed Kobe Bufkin to a 10-day contract on Nov. 24 to add guard depth. <\/a>His deal has expired.<\/p>\n<p>Williams has had multiple games of 15 or more assists since taking over for the injured Morant.
