NEW YORK \u2014 Stephon Castle gets one more accolade from his rookie season: The San Antonio guard was the only unanimous first-team selection on the NBA All-Rookie team.<\/p>\n
Castle \u2014 the league\u2019s rookie of the year \u2014 was the only player to get first team votes from all 100 members of the global panel of sportswriters and broadcasters who cast ballots to decide most of the NBA\u2019s annual awards.<\/p>\n
The Bulls\u2019 Matas Buzelis, a former Hinsdale Central High School student, was a second-team selection.<\/p>\n
Castle was joined on the first team by Atlanta\u2019s Zaccharie Risacher (who was one vote away from unanimous status), Memphis teammates Jaylen Wells and Zach Edey, and Washington\u2019s Alex Sarr.<\/p>\n
The second-team selections joining Buzelis were Miami\u2019s Kel\u2019el Ware, New Orleans\u2019 Yves Missi, Portland\u2019s Donovan Clingan and Washington\u2019s Bub Carrington.<\/p>\n
Edey (73 first-team votes, 27 second-team votes) joined Castle and Risacher as the only players to appear somewhere on all 100 ballots. Wells was on 99 ballots, Sarr was on 96 and Ware was on 94.<\/p>\n
Utah\u2019s Isaiah Collier was one point shy of tying Carrington for the final spot on the second team.<\/p>\n
Others receiving votes included Utah\u2019s Kyle Filipowski, Detroit\u2019s Ron Holland II, the Los Angeles Lakers\u2019 Dalton Knecht, Phoenix\u2019s Ryan Dunn, Philadelphia\u2019s Jared McCain, Golden State\u2019s Quinten Post, Toronto\u2019s Jamal Shead, Orlando\u2019s Tristan da Silva, Minnesota\u2019s Rob Dillingham, Philadelphia\u2019s Justin Edwards, Washington\u2019s Kyshawn George and Houston\u2019s Reed Sheppard.<\/p>\n
