There\u2019s a lull in the college basketball schedule this week, with most Big Ten programs off until the weekend.<\/p>\n

With the debut of the NCAA NET rankings in early December, we\u2019re checking in on how each Big Ten team has moved in the NET, KenPom, and Bart Torvik since the initial release of each computer ranking.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s an updated look at each Big Ten program and its latest NET, KenPom and Torvik rankings as of Tuesday morning, compared to the start of the season (or in the case of the NET, since its first release in early December):<\/p>\n

(Teams listed in order of current ranking on KenPom.)<\/p>\n

Michigan<\/p>\n

Initial NET ranking: 1
Current NET ranking: 1
Preseason KenPom: 11
Current KenPom: 1
Preseason Torvik: 3
Current Torvik: 1<\/p>\n

Notes: The computers have it right and the humans have it wrong (for now): Michigan is the best team in the country. <\/p>\n

Purdue<\/p>\n

Initial NET ranking: 3

Notes: Blowout home loss to Iowa State at home aside, the Boilermakers are building a strong profile with two Quad 1 wins already on their ledger.<\/p>\n

Michigan State<\/p>\n
