Steph Curry<\/a> is still soaking in the emotions of the new Stephen Curry Interchange<\/a> near his alma mater, Davidson College.<\/p>\n

“It’s on the list of things you never thought would happen,” Curry told reporters after the Warriors’ 132-125 win<\/a> over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. “You play the game your whole life, give everything you have to fully represent the Davidson community that’s meant so much to me. I guess the cool part is anybody who passes that interchange has been a part of my journey to help me get there and can hopefully feel a little bit of pride in that. \u2026 <\/p>\n

“It’s kind of cool to have it happen now rather than later, so more people can experience it with me. Don’t call me, though, if you get a speeding ticket on there.”<\/p>\n

“Anybody who passes that interchange … who’s been a part of my journey and helped me get there, I hope they feel a little bit of pride in that.”<\/p>\n

Curry’s long-time partner in crime, Draymond Green, agrees that it’s even more special that Curry was rewarded with the unique honor now.<\/p>\n

Green was among the handful of Warriors players who attended the interchange’s unveiling, and to him, it was a no-brainer.<\/p>\n

“Well, that’s my guy,” Green said. “People get interstates and exchanges and exits and highways and all that stuff when they die. not when you’re living. That’s living legend status. I wouldn’t be in Charlotte, North Carolina and miss that. the journey that we’ve been on together. I’ve watched his journey to that sign. So I’m very grateful to the whole Davidson tribe for making it happen while we’re in town. It didn’t cost me an extra trip, which was nice. <\/p>\n

“I wouldn’t miss a moment like that for him. What a special honor.”<\/p>\n

Special indeed. Just make sure not to speed on the road, because Curry won’t bail you out.<\/p>\n
