The Magic<\/a> received relatively positive injury news about Orlando<\/a> guard Jalen Suggs<\/a>, who exited late in the third quarter of Friday\u2019s game at Chicago<\/a> because of a right knee injury.<\/p>\n

An MRI conducted Saturday showed Suggs suffered a right knee Grade 1 MCL contusion, the team said.<\/p>\n

The Magic didn\u2019t share a timeline for how much time he could miss and said his return will depend on how he responds to treatment.<\/p>\n

Despite a Grade 1 MCL contusion, Suggs avoided structural damage in his right knee, a source told the Orlando Sentinel.<\/p>\n

Still, it\u2019s another injury for Suggs during what\u2019s already been another injury-plagued season for the Magic guard.<\/p>\n

Friday\u2019s contest at Chicago, which the Bulls won 121-114 at United Center, was only Suggs second game back from missing seven due to a left hip bruise.<\/p>\n

He also previously missed four games (Oct. 25, 30, Nov. 10, 23) due to left knee injury management to deal with the aftermath of a left knee trochlea cartilage tear that forced him to miss majority of last season. In addition, he missed one game (Nov. 16) due to a sore right groin.<\/p>\n

Despite the injuries, Suggs has proven to continue to be one of Orlando\u2019s most important players thanks to his high-energy offense and physical style of defense.<\/p>\n

In 23 games this season, he\u2019s averaged 15 points, 4.7 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals during 25.4 minutes per night.<\/p>\n

Suggs, who\u2019s led the team in assists seven times this season, has scored in double figures 20 times and 20-plus points seven times.<\/p>\n

He\u2019ll now miss an indefinite amount of time as he finds himself dealing with yet another injury in the middle of his fifth season in the NBA.<\/p>\n

The Magic (19-16) host the Pacers (6-29) on Sunday at Kia Center without Suggs, Franz Wagner (left high ankle sprain) and Moe Wagner (left knee injury recovery).<\/p>\n
