Milwaukee Bucks visit the Sacramento Kings to complete their season series. Their first game of the season\u2014a 135-133 loss\u2014had prompted the following mid-game text from my dad: \u201cDefensive battle w Bucks. 141 points at half.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Bucks have gotten back to winning ways, even if mostly at the hands of the Charlotte Hornets. Their 3-1 stretch has not-coincidentally coincided with Giannis\u2019 return. However, question marks with this team remain. At a certain point, it\u2019s hard to square Myles Turner\u2019s performance with what he\u2019s being paid, myriad mitigating factors notwithstanding (cough cough Doc cough). It would also be nice to get a little more from Gary Trent Jr. But problems aside, Milwaukee does not seem to be trying to tank, so this is a stretch of the schedule where they need to be pumping (or at least eking) out wins.<\/p>\n
The Kings are on a four-game skid. Their former SB Nation affiliate has a nice round-up of their \u201cterrible, horrible, no good, very bad year<\/a>,\u201d which featured trading De\u2019Aaron Fox for Zach LaVine, Titanic-esque front office management, and an awful start to this season. A recent deep-dive<\/a> points to their shoddy drafting as a key culprit during the \u201cRanadive error [sic intentional].\u201d Of course, injuries to Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, and someone called Maxime Raynoud (who has been playing well!) aren\u2019t helping.<\/p>\n Giannis is probable (right calf injury management) and Gary Harris is questionable (neck strain).
