Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> star Ja Morant<\/a> is questionable to play against the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> on Jan. 4 due to a right calf contusion.<\/p>\n

Morant was added to the injury report on Jan.3, a day after the Grizzlies lost 128-121 against the Lakers in their previous matchup.<\/a><\/p>\n

In the game, Morant was seen grabbing at his right calf and limping multiple times. He battled through the injury and finished with 16 points and 11 assists.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time Morant has dealt with a calf injury. He suffered a Grade 1 right calf strain in a Nov. 15 matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He missed 10 games and returned on Dec. 12.<\/p>\n

Morant has missed 16 games this season. In 18 appearances, he’s averaging 19 points and 7.6 assists per game.<\/p>\n

If Morant is unable to play against the Lakers, the Grizzlies will turn to Cam Spencer and Javon Small as options at point guard.<\/p>\n
