The\u00a0National Basketball Association\u00a0(NBA)\u00a0and\u00a0Sands\u00a0China Ltd. (Sands) announced Monday<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0the NBA China Games 2026\u00a0will feature the Dallas Mavericks<\/a> and\u00a0the\u00a0Houston Rockets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As part of the competition, the two teams will play 2026-27 preseason games on Friday,\u00a0Oct. 9 and Sunday,\u00a0Oct. 11, at\u00a0The\u00a0Venetian Arena\u00a0in\u00a0Macao.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Rockets are an iconic brand with support around the globe, and we are honored to be selected alongside the Mavericks to bring a Texas-sized matchup to Macao as part of\u00a0The\u00a0NBA China Games 2026,\u201d said Patrick Fertitta, alternate governor of the Rockets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince drafting Hall of Famer Yao Ming first overall in 2002, we have received overwhelming love from the passionate basketball fans of China and built several cherished memories playing overseas,\u201d Fertitta added. \u201cWe are excited to have another opportunity to represent the NBA abroad and showcase our team in front of the fans in Macao next preseason.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to the\u00a0two\u00a0games, the NBA and Sands will\u00a0host\u00a0interactive fan\u00a0events. These will include NBA House and NBA Fan Day; youth basketball\u00a0clinics; and\u00a0a\u00a0community impact week\u00a0hosted by NBA Cares and Sands Cares, which features\u00a0social impact programming focused on health, wellness, and sustainability.<\/p>\n

According to the league office, The NBA China Games 2026\u00a0will reach fans in more than 200 countries and territories across television, digital media, and social media.\u00a0The games and surrounding events will be supported by a roster of marketing partners, headlined by\u00a0Amazon Web Services,\u00a0Gatorade, Nike, and Tissot.<\/p>\n

Information\u00a0about\u00a0ticket sales, tipoff times, and\u00a0the\u00a0various fan, youth, and community\u00a0events\u00a0will be announced\u00a0at a later date.<\/p>\n
