It has been an interesting season thus far for the Atlanta Hawks<\/a> as they currently sit 10th in the Eastern Conference standings with a 17-21 record.<\/p>\n

Of course, Atlanta had a solid start to the season but they have struggled over the last handful of weeks as they have dropped nine of their last 11 games which has them sitting in the final Play-In spot in the East.<\/p>\n

Because of their recent struggles, trade rumors have begun to rise surrounding multiple players on their roster, including star guard Trae Young<\/a> who could opt out of his contract and become a free agent in the offseason after Atlanta did not offer him an extension last summer.<\/p>\n

On Monday, ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania reported that Young and his agents are working with the Hawks on a trade ahead of the February 5 trade deadline and it appears as though Young\u2019s time in Atlanta is nearing an end.<\/p>\n

Due to this, there may be multiple teams that show interest in the 27-year-old guard this season despite him only playing 10 games thus far due to injuries and these three may be potential landing spots for him.<\/p>\n

Sacramento Kings<\/p>\n

The Sacramento Kings<\/a> have reportedly been looking to add a star point guard to their roster after trading away De\u2019Aaron Fox last season and they may target Young.<\/p>\n

A potential trade for Young would likely involve a package centered around either Zach LaVine or DeMar DeRozan<\/a>, which could entice Atlanta to make a deal with Sacramento.<\/p>\n

While the Miami Heat<\/a> have had a strong season thus far, they do lack a true point guard which could see them show interest in Young ahead of the trade deadline.<\/p>\n

Of course, the main piece of a potential trade would likely be Andrew Wiggins, though the Hawks may want either Herro or Powell to be included, which could cause the Heat to hold off.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Timberwolves<\/p>\n

There have been reports that the Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> are looking to add a point guard ahead of the trade deadline, which could see them target Young.<\/p>\n

For the Timberwolves to acquire Young, they would likely have to include Rudy Gobert<\/a> in a potential deal, which could fill Atlanta\u2019s need at the center position, especially if they also look to trade Kristaps Porzingis<\/a>.<\/p>\n
