{"id":522518,"date":"2026-01-07T12:58:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-07T12:58:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/522518\/"},"modified":"2026-01-07T12:58:14","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T12:58:14","slug":"draymond-green-gives-hilarious-take-on-steve-kerrs-ejection-nbc-sports-bay-area-california","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/522518\/","title":{"rendered":"Draymond Green gives hilarious take on Steve Kerr\u2019s ejection \u2013 NBC Sports Bay Area &#038; California"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Whether\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0smashing a clipboard or sharing disapproval with a\u00a0referee\u2019s\u00a0call, Warriors coach Steve Kerr is not one to shy away from expressing anger.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kerr\u2019s latest heated moment came in the fourth quarter of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsbayarea.com\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/steph-curry-clippers-loss\/1904981\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Warriors\u2019 103-102 loss to the LA Clippers on Monday<\/a>, as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsbayarea.com\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/steve-kerr-ejected-la-clippers\/1904982\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">he demonstratively argued against a\u00a0no-call<\/a>\u00a0on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsbayarea.com\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/steve-kerr-goaltending-pool-report\/1905012\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">goaltend by Clippers\u00a0forward\u00a0John Collins<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Warriors star Draymond Green was asked after the game if he had ever seen his coach that angry, to which he provided a hilarious and astutely self-observant example.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah,\u201d Green\u00a0responded during his postgame press conference. \u201cWhen he was ready to kill me the other day in the huddle.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Green referred\u00a0to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsbayarea.com\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/draymond-green-steve-kerr-heated-exchange\/1901673\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">clash between Kerr and himself<\/a>\u00a0during a Warriors win over the Orlando Magic in December. Green left the bench and did not return to the game, saying it was \u201cbest to remove&#8221; himself.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s\u00a0a good sign for morale that Green\u00a0can\u00a0chuckle about the incident in hindsight.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The team responded well after Kerr\u2019s ejection, and his players appreciated the fire that he showed after receiving some unfavorable officiating.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be honest, I was going to do that and [then] I saw him&#8230;\u201d\u00a0Warriors\u00a0star Steph Curry said to reporters after the game. \u201c&#8230; I love that fired-up Steve for sure. Somebody had to do it tonight.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy Butler\u00a0felt the same way, noting how powerful it is to see Kerr\u2019s anger\u00a0in person.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou see it sometimes on the internet,\u201d Butler said after the game (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6944559\/2026\/01\/06\/steve-kerr-ejected-warriors-clippers-game-arguing-officials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">h\/t The\u00a0Athletic\u2019s\u00a0Nick Friedell<\/a>). \u201cBut I really get to see it face to face.
