INDIANAPOLIS — Tony Bradley <\/a>was waived before his contract was fully guaranteed, but the Pacers <\/a>plan to bring back the depth center on a 10-day contract starting Thursday, a league source confirmed to the IndyStar on Wednesday. Tony East of Forbes and the Locked On Network had the story first.<\/p>\n

Bradley initially joined the Pacers in March on a 10-day contract and hung around long enough to get a non-guaranteed two-year contract. The Pacers picked up his club option for the 2025-26 season and kept him through training camp, but chose to waive him before the Jan. 10 deadline when his contract would have become fully guaranteed for the rest of the season.<\/a><\/p>\n

Bradley’s role throughout his Pacers tenure has been limited, but he’s consistently given them the sturdy post defense and rebounding they’ve asked for in the position. In 10.7 minutes per game this season, Bradley is averaging 3.9 points per game on 56.3% shooting and 2.6 rebounds per game. In last year’s playoffs, he was an effective foil for New York’s Mitchell Robinson and Oklahoma City’s Isaiah Hartenstein on the glass and he’s typically been used against larger bodied centers this season. His spot on the team became tenuous when the Pacers signed Micah Potter to a non-guaranteed contract, which has since become guaranteed. However, with second-string center Isaiah Jackson out since Dec. 22 with a concussion, the Pacers still need Bradley as a third healthy option.<\/p>\n
