Penn Manor 55, McCaskey 37 \u2014 The Comets used a 21-3 second-quarter burst for a 31-12 lead at the break, and Penn Manor topped the host Red Tornado to join Manheim Township in a second-place tie in the section chase. Yirvic Otero<\/a> (12 points), Joelle Kroesen (11 points) and Leah Swanson (11 points) keyed the Comets, who sealed the deal with an 18-point third-quarter blitz. Sarai Lewis (14 points) and Anastasia Cruz (12 points) paced McCaskey.\u00a0<\/p>\n Lebanon 50, Hempfield 38 \u2014 The Cedars built a 31-22 lead at the half, and made that stand up for their third victory in a row. L-L scoring leader Olive Brandt<\/a> continued her onslaught with five 3-pointers and 29 points for Lebanon; Lea Douglas (season-high 10 points) and Maddy Sieklicki (three 3-pointers, 10 points) paced the host Black Knights.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

SECTION 2<\/p>\n Warwick 51, Garden Spot 27 \u2014 That\u2019s seven wins in a row for the surging Warriors, who kept a grip on sole possession of first place with a victory in New Holland. Warwick opened the game on a 16-0 run and had a commanding 31-4 lead at the break and kept on keeping on. Mia Warfel scored 11 points to pace the Warriors\u2019 balanced attack; Laina Steiner popped in 9 points for Garden Spot.\u00a0<\/p>\n Ephrata 38, Cocalico 33 \u2014 In a battle of backyard rivals \u2014 and a pair of teams tied for second place in the section hunt at the start of the night \u2014 the host Mountaineers outscored the Eagles 17-13 in the second half to take over sole possession of second place behind Warwick. Cocalico had its 3-game winning streak snapped. Leah Caldwell<\/a> inched closer to the 1,000-point mark in her career with 8 points for Ephrata; Kira Lehman scored a game-high 18 points for the Eagles, who were within 21-20 at the half. FYI: Caldwell, a senior, is up to 923 career points for Ephrata.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Conestoga Valley 52, Elizabethtown 32 \u2014 The Buckskins bolted to a 20-8 first-quarter lead, and made their 34-15 halftime cushion stand up to remain within shouting distance of a very busy lead pack in the section chase. Tia Logan (three 3-pointers, season-high 20 points) and Shayla Gault (three 3-pointers, season-high 13 points) spearheaded CV, which snapped a 3-game slide. Chloe Wilkinson popped in 15 points for the host Bears.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
SECTION 4<\/p>\n Pequea Valley 67, Lancaster Country Day 9 \u2014 Seven wins in a row, and still alone in first place in the section race for the Braves, who jackknifed to a 28-2 first-quarter lead and a 43-2 cushion at the half and subdued the host Cougars. Janae Patterson<\/a> pumped in 18 points for PV; Rosa Marinez scored 7 points for Country Day<\/a>, which returned to the court for the first time since Dec. 18.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

Octorara 24, Lancaster Mennonite 22 \u2014 The Braves trailed 8-4 at the half, seized control with a 13-6 third-quarter clip, and then fended off the host Blazers. Ali Matys scored 9 points to pace Octorara; Avery King \u2014 making her season debut, and a key player two seasons ago, before Mennonite froze its program in 2024-25<\/a> \u2014 popped in 14 points for the Blazers.<\/p>\n NONLEAGUE\u00a0<\/p>\n Annville-Cleona 33, Millersburg 24 \u2014 The host Dutchmen raced out to a 20-8 first-quarter lead, survived a slower second quarter \u2014 when A-C was held to 2 points \u2014 and picked up the win. Addison Sanchez bucketed a season-high 13 points for the Dutchmen, who were outscored 14-11 in the second half, but were able to slam the door.\u00a0<\/p>\n Wednesday\u2019s Northern Lebanon at Williams Valley nonleague game was cancelled.
