Ja Morant\u2019s status for the Memphis Grizzlies<\/a>\u2019 Sunday afternoon game against the Brooklyn Nets<\/a> was already decided as early as Saturday night.<\/p>\n

According to the Grizzlies\u2019 official injury report<\/a>, Morant is listed as out. An official team announcement confirms he is still dealing with a calf contusion.<\/p>\n

Considering Morant\u2019s name is back in the trade rumor mill, many see the sudden wave as absences as something deeper than a contusion. NBA fans have started speculating that Morant might\u2019ve played his final game with Memphis.<\/p>\n

Morant hasn\u2019t played since the Grizzlies\u2019 January 2 game against the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> on the road.<\/p>\n

At the time, he checked in for 31 minutes, shooting 7-18 from the field and scoring 16 points. Morant notched a double-double with 11 assists, while coming down with three rebounds and snatching two steals.<\/p>\n

Grizzlies head coach Tuomas Iisalo told reporters on Friday night<\/a> that Morant is not experiencing a setback at this time.<\/p>\n

While the Grizzlies are reportedly fielding calls for a potential Morant trade<\/a>, they haven\u2019t ruled out keeping him on board and building around him. Right now, they are simply scanning the market to see what\u2019s available.<\/p>\n
