However, Miami and players know that it\u2019s time to figure out how the team plays at full strength.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, you gotta think about it,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/p\/powelno01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-11_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Norman Powell<\/a> said. \u201cLike we\u2019ve played a certain way for a while, you know, we had <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/larsspe01.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pelle (Larsson)<\/a> in the starting lineup, and then we went to the big lineup, and then another guy comes back in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/herroty01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-11_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Tyler [Herro<\/a>] who\u2019s a scorer and can really boost your offense, and now everybody has to adjust and figure it out. It\u2019s not gonna be as soon as it happens, as soon as everybody\u2019s healthy we\u2019re gonna be playing and clicking on all cylinders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Heat are currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and are just 2.5 games out of a top-four spot despite all the lineup interruptions. Head coach Erik Spoelstra is confident that with a little injury luck, the offense should sort itself out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat group, when they\u2019ve played together, there\u2019s been an explosive offensive group,\u201d Spoelstra said, while acknowledging the small sample that the unit has played.<\/p>\n<p>We have more from the Heat:<\/p>\n<p>Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle had high praise for Powell, despite the Heat wing only scoring six points in 22 minutes in Saturday\u2019s matchup. \u201cNorman Powell is such an important player for them,\u201d Carlisle said (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/HeatCulture13\/status\/2010412246468309296?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">Twitter video link<\/a>). \u201cPowell, to me, is an All-Star this year, he\u2019ll get a vote from me. I have no problem saying it publicly. He\u2019s been really tremendous this year for them.\u201d Powell is currently averaging a career-high 23.8 points per game while shooting 41.5% on 7.3 three-point attempts per game.<br \/>\nThe Heat were disappointed that Herro\u2019s return to the starting lineup was delayed when Thursday\u2019s game against the Bulls was postponed due to moisture on the court, writes <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/sports\/nba\/miami-heat\/article314273168.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald<\/a>. \u201cWe were all looking forward to playing in Chicago,\u201d Herro said. \u201cI think that was one of our most, if not our healthiest we\u2019ve been in quite some time. We all went to dinner after the game together like, \u2018Damn, we were looking forward to playing.&#8217;\u201d Against the Pacers on Saturday, Herro was able to make his first start in a month, scoring 21 points in 32 minutes with seven rebounds and four assists. Herro is active for the team\u2019s game against the Thunder on Sunday, but the starting unit faced another setback as Powell missed the game with lower back soreness.<br \/>\nOne reason the NBA hasn\u2019t terminated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/roziete01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-11_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Terry Rozier<\/a>\u2018s contract, which would free up cap space, is that the league hasn\u2019t been granted access to the evidence that will be used in the federal case against Rozier, writes Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/flasportsbuzz\/status\/2010051793359704203?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">via Twitter<\/a>). Because the league has no evidence to overturn its previous findings, it cannot move forward with terminating Rozier\u2019s deal as it did previously with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/p\/portejo01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-11_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jontay Porter<\/a>\u2018s contract.
