Wagner, Green, Curry, Williams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Magic are gearing up for a game against the Grizzlies in Berlin. Their German star, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/wagnefr01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-11_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Franz Wagner<\/a>, is hoping that he can make his return from injury by then, according to Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/therealBeede\/status\/2010499098684596419?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">Twitter link)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel good,\u201d Wagner said. \u201cI\u2019ve been working really hard the last couple of weeks to get back as soon as I can. Hopefully that will be in Berlin. But regardless of if I play or not, it\u2019s going to be just a true full circle moment for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/wagnemo01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-11_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Mo [Wagner<\/a>] and I.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wagner has missed the last 16 games for Orlando, including Sunday\u2019s 128-118 win over the Pelicans, as he recovers from a high ankle sprain. In his 24 games played this season, he has averaged 22.7 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.7 rebounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGrowing up going as little kids to that gym to watch the pros play and now bring the NBA game there, is pretty special for us,\u201d Wagner said. \u201cSo we\u2019re just going to the try and enjoy every second of it, take it all in and appreciate the opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Magic are currently tied with the Cavs for the sixth seed with a record of 22-18, and are hoping that Wagner\u2019s return can help them start to move back up the standings.<\/p>\n<p>We have more injury news from around the league:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/greenja05.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-11_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jalen Green<\/a> continued ramping up his on-court work on Friday with the Suns\u2018 coaching staff, writes <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.azcentral.com\/story\/sports\/nba\/suns\/2026\/01\/09\/injured-jalen-green-continues-live-on-court-work-phoenix-suns-coaches\/88110597007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic<\/a>. \u201cYou\u2019re going to feel some general soreness just by getting out there on the court and that\u2019s normal,\u201d coach Jordan Ott said prior to Phoenix\u2019s game against the Knicks. \u201cThat\u2019s not specific to the injury. He\u2019s got to keep going. He\u2019s going to have to fight through some that overall just soreness back on the court. Now he\u2019s getting bodies. The beating and banging with the bodies and know we\u2019re right there. Got to get across the finish line.\u201d Ott noted that Green will be on a minutes restriction when he returns, but that he\u2019s expected to start. \u201cHe\u2019s been out for multiple months. There\u2019s obviously going to be some type of target range or number that we try to get him to,\u201d Ott said. \u201cHe\u2019ll definitely be in the starting lineup as soon as he gets back and ready to go. We need his speed, his ability to attack off the dribble. We need him, but we need him healthy.\u201d<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/curryse01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-11_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Seth Curry<\/a> has missed the last 12 games with a sciatic nerve-related injury and he\u2019s not expected to be back on the court for the Warriors anytime soon. According to the team (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/WarriorsPR\/status\/2010494600842998091?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">Twitter link<\/a>), Curry has been working with Golden State\u2019s training staff and will be reevaluated in two weeks. He has played just two games for the Warriors this year, both at the start of December. In his season debut, he scored 14 points in just under 18 minutes while hitting six of his seven shots.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/willija06.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-01-11_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jalen Williams<\/a> wore a heated glove on his shooting wrist when he was on the bench during the Thunder\u2018s win over the Heat on Sunday, reports Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Justintohoops\/status\/2010516057941823817?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">via Twitter<\/a>).
