Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker has accomplished more than a vast majority of shooting guards in NBA history. Despite that unavoidable truth, he’s often overlooked when discussions about the best players in the Association arise.<\/p>\n
In the midst of a miraculous 2025-26 campaign, however, Booker has made it impossible<\/a> to logically argue against his status as a top-tier player.<\/p>\n Despite parting ways with Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant, and playing 38 games without Jalen Green, the Suns are 24-16. It’s a breathtaking feat and a certain feather in Booker’s cap, as he’s overcome playing 17 games without fellow starter Grayson Allen.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, the disrespect has continued as the fan vote has left Booker at 17th in the Western Conference despite leading the Suns to such resounding success.<\/p>\n Luka Don\u010di\u0107 and Giannis Antetokounmpo remain the leaders in their conferences in the second fan returns in NBA All-Star Voting 2026.<\/p>\n Fans (50% of the vote) join NBA players (25%) and a media panel (25%) in selecting five players in each conference honored as starters. pic.twitter.com\/u8tlbj9GA8<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 NBA Communications (@NBAPR) January 6, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n According to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic<\/a>, Booker is aware of the disrespect and knows he’s outplaying some of the players who have received more votes.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s fan voting,\u201d Booker said. \u201cThere are some super big market teams. There are guys from different countries that have a whole country behind them. I kind of understand the process, but am I playing better than a lot of guys? For sure, but that\u2019s not the setup.\u201d<\/p>\n Whether or not the fans make it happen for Booker, it’s fair to believe the end result will be the Suns star earning All-Star and All-NBA honors if his current form holds<\/a>.<\/p>\n Devin Booker is playing at an All-Star and All-NBA level<\/p>\n Booker is currently averaging 25.2 points, 6.5 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 1.6 three-point field goals made per game. His three-point shot has admittedly fallen off of a cliff at 30.3 percent, but he’s shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 86.1 percent at the free throw line.<\/p>\n More importantly, Booker has played a direct role in the Suns’ success as the team leader in points and assists, and the go-to player late in games.<\/p>\n Phoenix is outscoring opponents by 5.1 points per 100 possessions when Booker is on the court and is being outscored by 1.8 when he isn’t. It’s also 18-10 when Booker records at least five assists and 6-6 when he either doesn’t play or fails to reach that mark. <\/p>\n If his impact on winning isn’t enough to generate All-Star and All-NBA momentum, then Booker’s individual brilliance should do the trick.<\/p>\n Booker currently ranks in the 89th percentile in self-created shot making efficiency, per Basketball Index. He also ranks in the 99th percentile in overall gravity<\/a>, which measures the “attention an offensive player commands from the defense between on- and off-ball opportunities.”<\/p>\n With a degree of difficulty few stars can compete with and inescapable value, Booker should be a lock for All-Star and All-NBA recognition if he stays the course.<\/p>\n
