That has included Darius Garland, who admitted to the ESPN broadcast team before Wednesday\u2019s game that he\u2019s only playing at 70% due to the left toe injury that kept him out of playoff games last spring and the start of this regular season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Unfortunately, Garland has run into more bad injury news. He left Wednesday\u2019s game against the <a href=\"http:\/\/libertyballers.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> with a right foot injury. This occurred after taking a hard fall while fighting for a loose ball in the third quarter. Fortunately, this injury occurred in the opposite foot that required toe surgery last summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Garland was having one of his better games of the season until the injury. He poured in 20 points on 8-13 shooting, which included going 3-7 from three. Garland also had seven assists, three rebounds, and a steal in 23 minutes of action.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">We don\u2019t know the severity of the injury at this time. But it\u2019s safe to say, any setback for Garland \u2014 even if it\u2019s on a different foot \u2014 is awful news for the Cavs. The offense is at its best when he\u2019s playing up to the All-Star standard he set last season. The toe injury has kept him from reaching that level as consistently this campaign, but he\u2019s looked much more like himself in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The Cavs have two games in their next five days. They take on the 76ers again in Philadelphia on Friday before hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">On the season, Garland is averaging 17.9 points, 6.9 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game on .445\/.357\/.870 shooting splits in 26 games played.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled with health all season.
