While Brooks\u2019 fiery attitude has helped the team in many outings, it\u2019s also hindered them. He got his technical foul against the Miami Heat rescinded from the last game, but he\u2019s on the verge of a suspension due to too many technical fouls.<\/p>\n
Despite having two rescinded already, Brooks is leading the NBA in technical fouls with 13, he\u2019s three techs away from a one-game suspension. Playing 34 games this season, he\u2019s picking up a technical in about 38% of his games.<\/p>\n
Brooks is known for getting technical fouls. Both last season and in the 2022-2023 campaign, he was suspended for surpassing the amount of technical fouls allowed; it looks like he\u2019s going to do the same this year. The most techs he\u2019s gotten in a season is 18, which he did with the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2022-23 campaign<\/p>\n
Playing an aggressive style, some of Brooks\u2019 most notable technical fouls this season have come when he\u2019s faced LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Against the Lakers last month, Brooks got into it with LeBron James. He has a longstanding history of instigating James, dating back to when they faced off in the 2022-23 playoffs, and he called him old.<\/p>\n
