Join now and get your first month for just $1.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img class=\"i-amphtml-fill-content i-amphtml-replaced-content\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/poster-fallback.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Officially trade-eligible on Friday AEDT, Kuminga has \u201cdemanded a trade\u201d, according to ESPN insider Shams Charania, who revealed two teams interested in acquiring the wantaway forward. <\/p>\n<p>Reporting on the fresh development, Charania said Kuminga\u2019s relationship with the Warriors had been \u201cfractured beyond repair\u201d, revealing two potential landing spots for the 23-year-old. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cKuminga and the Golden State Warriors\u2019 relationship is fractured; it is non-existent. Specifically, the relationship between Steve Kerr and Kuminga. It\u2019s been described to me as &#8230; completely deteriorated,\u201d Charania <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShamsCharania\/status\/2011899132332642587\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">said on ESPN<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd everyone in that Warriors building knows that Kuminga wants out \u2014 he\u2019s been wanting a trade out of Golden State, and tensions have only risen over the last several weeks, when he\u2019s basically been banished. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s the fourth-highest-paid player on the Warriors, but he has not been in the rotation. So, the Warriors have been canvassing the trade market for Kuminga. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo teams that have stood out with mutual interest &#8230; are the Sacramento Kings and the Dallas Mavericks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Kings, with declining stars DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, are one of the teams tipped to reconfigure their roster at the trade deadline, while the Mavericks are building a long-term future led by prodigious rookie Cooper Flagg. <\/p>\n<p>NBA Wrap: Flagg injured in Mavs loss | 02:03<\/p>\n<p>Kuminga, who\u2019s earning $22.5 million (AU$33,575,073), has a unique contract structure, with an inbuilt team option next season that makes him more tradeable. <\/p>\n<p>But on ESPN\u2019s flagship basketball program, NBA Today, veteran journalist Windhorst roasted the talented yet fledgling forward, who has been consistently absent this season and whose trade situation Windhorst labelled \u201cnot a significant thing\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>The long-time insider and panellist couldn\u2019t fathom why the program was even discussing Kuminga\u2019s circumstances. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat are we doing here? What are we doing here, leading off the signature show on the NBA, talking about a player who hasn\u2019t played in a month?\u201d Windhorst began on Friday. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho\u2019s having the worst shooting season of his career, and who\u2019s playing for a team that self-describes as mediocre \u2014 Jimmy Butler called the team mediocre the other day, he wasn\u2019t wrong. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSteve Kerr called the team a fading dynasty, and he wasn\u2019t wrong. What are we doing here? If he had an offer last summer from another team, he would have signed an offer sheet. This is not a significant thing. Just move on. I can\u2019t take it anymore. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve seen Anthony Slater go through four seasons in his backyard talking about this story \u2014 about a guy who is not (playing).
