He went 7-of-11 from the field in 24 minutes, 24 seconds of action off the bench as the Skyhawks dropped to 4-9 in the regular season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The 23rd pick in the 2025 NBA draft found success in the paint, finishing strong at the rim while also getting downhill on several occasions. He also threw down a highlight reel dunk over a defender on the break in the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Newell has played sporadically for the Hawks, averaging 5.1 points and two rebounds in 32 appearances for coach Quin Snyder. He is one of 14 rookies to register a double-double this season after recording 12 points and 10 rebounds on Oct. 25.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The 20-year-old is averaging 18.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and three assists while shooting 58.1% shooting from the field in four games with the Skyhawks.
