Ian Maule \/ Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>By The Athletic NFL Staff<\/p>\n<p>Jan. 18, 2026 10:15 pm EST<\/p>\n<p>It won\u2019t be any consolation after their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6981907\/2026\/01\/18\/rams-bears-score-result-takeaways-nfl-divisional-round\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">heartbreaking playoff loss Sunday night<\/a>, but the Chicago Bears now know that they\u2019ll hold the No. 25 pick in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl\/draft\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">2026 NFL Draft<\/a>. The Bills, 49ers and Texans all have locked in their first-round slots, as well.<\/p>\n<p>The full order for picks 19-32 is decided by playoff results \u2014 teams eliminated in the wild-card round have been placed into slots 19-24 and divisional-round losers have picks 25-28. The first tiebreaker for draft positioning is strength of schedule, with the team that\u2019s faced an easier schedule receiving the higher pick.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how Round 1 stands after the conclusion of the divisional round.<\/p>\n<p>(Note: Remaining playoff teams are designated by asterisks below.)<\/p>\n<p>1.
