Draymond Green<\/a> was out of the lineup for the Golden State Warriors<\/a> on Tuesday night. The four-time All-Star was sidelined with an ankle injury. Green was not able to help the Warriors secure a 135-112 win over the Miami Heat<\/a>, which marked Golden State’s fourth straight win.<\/p>\n

The Warriors are back in action on Tuesday in the second night of a back-to-back set. They are set to host the Toronto Raptors<\/a> at Chase Center for another home game. At this point, the Warriors are remaining optimistic that the former Defensive Player of the Year will be healthy enough to suit up against Toronto.<\/p>\n

Green was not the only injury the Warriors had to deal with on Tuesday, though. They lost Jimmy Butler<\/a> in the first half due to a troubling knee injury. The 6-foot-6 forward was writhing on the ground in pain before being helped to the locker room. The Warriors quickly ruled Butler out for the rest of the game<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As of writing, the Warriors have not confirmed the extent of Butler’s injury. ESPN’s Shams Charania, however, has reported that Butler has suffered a season-ending ACL injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The silver lining for the Warriors is that Green has a chance to return on Tuesday against the Raptors. After the disappointing news about Green’s absence on Monday, Warriors coach Steve Kerr shared an update ahead of the game against Miami. According to the four-time NBA<\/a> champion coach, he is hopeful that Green will play on Tuesday against the Raptors, per Warriors reporter Nick Friedell<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kerr explained that the knee issue has been bothering Green in the last couple of games. He was listed as questionable to play on Monday before being downgraded to out. The Warriors decided to give him the night off, with the hope of having Green back in the tail end of the back-to-back.<\/p>\n

Golden State improved to 25-19 after beating the Heat. They remain eighth in the Western Conference, 1.5 games behind the 26-17 Phoenix Suns<\/a>.<\/p>\n
