according to NBA insider Jake Fischer<\/a>. <\/p>\nHowever Fischer notes the Warriors don\u2019t expect either player to become available until the off-season, at the earliest.<\/p>\n
\u201cSources say that the Warriors naturally do plan to feature prominently in the trade mix for Milwaukee\u2019s Antetokounmpo if he truly becomes available via trade this off-season while also exploring the prospect of teaming James with Stephen Curry at last once LeBron becomes an unrestricted free agent on June 30,\u201d Fischer wrote.<\/p>\n
For now, however, Golden State is backing Butler to return next season and help Steph Curry and company contend. Butler, 36, has a $56.8 million contract for next season before he\u2019s due to become an unrestricted free agent.<\/p>\n

The Warriors are one of several teams including the Atlanta Hawks, LA Lakers, Miami Heat hesitant to make major moves ahead of the deadline in hopes that Antetokounmpo eventually becomes available, NBA insider Zach Lowe revealed earlier this week.<\/p>\n
Though ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst said an Antetokounmpo trade before the deadline is \u201cmore likely by the hour,\u201d with the 18-25 Bucks languishing outside the East\u2019s play-in.<\/p>\n
\u201cNobody wants to be the bad guy but everybody wants the best terms,\u201d Windhorst said on ESPN.<\/p>\n
\u201cGiannis won a championship and had had 12 amazing years in Milwaukee, he doesn\u2019t want to hurt those fans. He wants to potentially be able to live in Milwaukee for the rest of his life when he retires.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe doesn\u2019t want to (request a trade).<\/p>\n
\u201cBut clearly, he\u2019s a smart guy. He understands the league. He can\u2019t look at this situation and believe it\u2019s tenable.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe wants to be the guy the fans still come to arena with and cheer for him and love him.\u201d<\/p>\n
AD\u2019S AGENT \u2018HAS MADE IT CLEAR\u2019 HE WANTS STAR TRADED<\/p>\n
Anthony Davis\u2019 manager reportedly wants the star centre out 0f Dallas now.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s according to a fresh report from ESPN just a couple of weeks out from the NBA\u2019s February 6 trade deadline.<\/p>\n
Speaking on SportsCenter, reporter Tim McMahon revealed Davis\u2019 agent, Rich Paul, has \u201cmade it clear\u201d of his desire for Davis to be traded before the deadline as talks heat up.<\/p>\n
\u201cRich Paul has made it clear he wants his client to be traded. He believes that\u2019s in his best interest,\u201d McMahon said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t get the sense that AD is pounding on the door of the front office and saying, \u2018Get me out of here.\u2019 The Mavericks are exploring the market. They\u2019re being aggressive. They\u2019re having those conversations but they\u2019re not acting with a sense of urgency. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey don\u2019t feel like they have to trade AD by the deadline. They don\u2019t feel like they have to trade him this summer. If Anthony Davis is on the Mavericks\u2019 roster to open camp next season, I don\u2019t think anybody in Dallas sees that as a major problem.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Dallas is open to moving Davis, a trade won\u2019t be so straightforward. <\/p>\n
The oft-injured 32-year old has again struggled to stay on the court this season, playing in 20 of a possible 44 games. <\/p>\n
He\u2019s set to be sidelined through the trade deadline with a finger injury. It was reported Davis won\u2019t require surgery after getting a second opinion, with the big man to be re-evaluated in around five weeks.<\/p>\n
Davis is owed $175 million over the next three seasons and he\u2019s eligible for a bumper four-year, $275 million extension next off-season.<\/p>\n
Two of the teams that were believed to previously have interest in Davis, the Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors, appear out on All-Star centre.<\/p>\n
