An NBA trade proposal sending Ja Morant<\/a> from the Memphis Grizzlies to the Golden State Warriors has been created. <\/p>\n

NBA writer Dan Favale of Bleacher Report<\/a> created the following trade proposal between the Warriors and Grizzlies:<\/p>\n

Golden State Warriors Receive:\u00a0Ja Morant, Vincent Williams Jr.<\/p>\n

Memphis Grizzlies Receive:\u00a0Buddy Hield<\/a>, Jonathan Kuminga<\/a>, Moses Moody<\/a>, 2026 first-round pick (lottery protection through 2027; obligation expires if not conveyed)<\/p>\n

Morant and the Grizzlies have mutual interest in parting ways before the 2026 NBA trade deadline, sources told DallasHoopsJournal. Morant doesn\u2019t have a no-trade clause, so he can\u2019t control where Memphis sends him. <\/p>\n

The Warriors lost Jimmy Butler<\/a> to a season-ending ACL tear<\/a> and are still dealing with Kuminga\u2019s trade demand. The 2026 NBA trade deadline is February 5 at 3 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

Memphis is entertaining offers to trade Morant and multiple teams are pursuing the point guard in trade talks, sources said. NBA executives believe the Grizzlies are prioritizing draft picks and young players in return.<\/p>\n

Morant \u201chates\u201d playing for Grizzlies head coach Tuomas Iisalo, sources said. The explosive guard is not a fan of Iisalo\u2019s strategy of playing lineups in short shifts and then mass substituting. It has prevented Morant from getting his legs underneath him and developing a rhythm on the court.<\/p>\n

Morant has played in 19 games this season. He\u2019s averaging 19.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game while shooting 40.7% from the field, 23.5% from beyond the arc and 89.0% from the free-throw line.<\/p>\n

The 2019-20 Rookie of the Year, Morant has led the Grizzlies to the second round of the playoffs just once.<\/p>\n

Morant, 26, has career averages of 22.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game. He was the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Murray State.<\/p>\n

Kuminga signed a two-year, $48.5 million deal with the Warriors to end his restricted free agency last offseason. The second year of the deal is a team option.<\/p>\n

Sources said\u00a0Kuminga believes his growth has been stunted by Steve Kerr and the Warriors. Kerr and Kuminga don\u2019t have a good relationship and Kuminga desperately wants out of Golden State. <\/p>\n
